Two Day Workshop inspired by Alexander Calder                       

Create sculptural forms in metal, using ideas or techniques derived from Calder’s work exhibited in Picasso to Warhol: Fourteen Modern Masters.

Saturday 25 August
Visit Picasso to Warhol and develop ideas to explore in 2D and 3D metal forms.

Saturday 1 September
Convert concept into artwork by building your metal sculpture at TAFE Central.

If you’re a teacher, beginner or professional artist you’ll enjoy one of Central Institute of Technology’s Art Workshops.  Workshops start with an exhibition tour by one of AGWA’s Volunteer Gallery Guides then it’s a short walk to Central for the workshop.

10.00am – Registration at AGWA reception
10.10am – Guided tour commences
11.10am – Group lead to Central
11.30am – Art workshop commences
1.00pm – Break for lunch
1.30pm – Workshop continues
4.00pm – Workshop ends
